Registered Red Angus

Our journey to raising Red Angus started in the spring of 2019. Having raised cattle for years, our herd at that time was comprised primarily of Black Angus. We attended the Ohio Beef Expo in March 2019 and came home with a registered Red Angus bull and three heifers. It didn’t take long to know the Reds were here to stay.

Over the next few years, we brought in more cattle from Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, and even started the AI process to introduce well-known, quality blood lines such as Bieber, Pelton, STRA, and more. Our herd quickly grew to over 75 head of cattle and as a small, family operation, we realized this was more than we wanted to comfortably maintain. We were selling animals both as calves and feeding them out for customers through wholesale orders. To reduce our herd size, we phased out the wholesale orders and started selling our animals as feeder calves and breeding stock.

Presently, nearly all of our original Black Angus commercial cattle have aged out and our focus has shifted to honing in on the breeding and show quality of our Registered Red Angus herd. In 2021 we exhibited our first Reds at the local Morrow County Fair and saw that our quality was competitive on the local level. Over the past 4 show seasons we’ve received accolades such as Overall Supreme Cow/Calf, Reserve Cow/Calf, Champion & Reserve Red Angus Heifer, and Reserve Overall Supreme Bull. We have sold breeding stock both in and out of state and are excited to grow the Bralkili Farms name.
